Alessandro Torre

Alessandro Torre is a co-founder of and principal/ trader at Lillian Nicola Asset Management, LLC.

Leveraging his background in mathematics and physics as a chemical & biomolecular engineer, Alessandro helped research and develop various trading techniques with Mr. Wendlandt during the second half of 2011. As a result of these studies, they decided to pursue a discretionary trading approach which Lillian Nicola Asset Management, LLC now employs to manage client assets. Using these same techniques, Mr. Torre has been trading proprietary monies in the forex market since March 2012.

Beginning March of 2009, Alessandro worked for an industrial and medical gas company named Air Liquide. For his first two years of employment, he completed an engineering rotation program with assignments in Houston, TX and Toronto, Ontario. During his first two rotations, Alessandro contributed to the consolidation of two cylinder-filling plants and the engineering, procurement and construction of a liquid Helium transfilling unit. His 3rd rotation consisted of producing a growth strategy evaluation to understand the investment nature of Air Liquide competitors. During his last rotation, Alessandro spent time with Air Liquide Medical in Toronto, Ontario serving in a consulting capacity. He developed a first pass at bridging operations and accounting for the Canadian operations with satellites in Montreal and Vancouver.

After the successful completion of this rotational program, he served as a reliability project engineer in San Francisco, CA at a Nitrous Oxide (N2O) production plant. After this role, he relocated to Houston, TX to fulfill the company’s Gulf Coast Zone Engineering role.  In this role, he was responsible for efficiency, reliability and safety projects across the 8 Gulf Coast plants.
